The 6sense vs Demandbase Decision
Both are excellent. Both are expensive. Here is how to pick the right one for your stage and motion.
6sense and Demandbase are the two enterprise-grade ABM platforms in B2B. Both are excellent. Both cost between 75K and 300K per year depending on tier. Choosing between them is one of the larger MarTech decisions a growing B2B company will make.
6sense is stronger at intent data (broader signal coverage, better predictive scoring), better at integrating with CRM at depth, and has a more mature data science team behind the model. It tends to be the choice for companies with a sophisticated revops team that will use the platform deeply.
Demandbase is stronger at advertising (especially programmatic display targeting), has a more intuitive user experience, and is often easier for marketing teams to operate without heavy revops support. It tends to be the choice for marketing-led teams that want a one-stop ABM platform.
The decision criteria: if you have strong revops and want maximum data depth, 6sense. If you have a marketing-led ABM motion and want fast time-to-value, Demandbase. If you cannot afford either (under 30M ARR), neither. Run ABM manually with Apollo, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn ads until you grow into the platform spend. Skipping the manual phase makes you ignorant of the underlying motion, and the platform spend will be wasted.
