Three review sites, three different audiences. Here is how to allocate effort.
G2, Capterra, and SoftwareSuggest are the three major SaaS review sites and each has a different audience profile. Most marketing teams default to G2 and ignore the others. The right allocation depends on your buyer.
G2 has the strongest US mid-market and enterprise audience. The reviews are detailed and credible. Investment level: high (active review collection program, paid placement consideration). G2 is the default for any B2B SaaS targeting US-based buyers above 100 employees.
Capterra has stronger SMB audience and a wider international reach. The reviews are shorter and the audience skews to first-time SaaS buyers. Investment level: moderate (claim and complete the profile, collect reviews opportunistically). Capterra matters if your ICP includes SMB or international buyers.
SoftwareSuggest has stronger India and Asia audience reach. Investment level: low for most US-focused B2B SaaS, moderate if you sell into Asia. The right approach is to claim the profile, complete the basics, and not invest heavily unless your ICP includes the Asia market. Allocate based on where your buyer actually researches.
